🔧Work Performed
Arrived onsite. Met with POC Jake. Jake informed me that they usually have Agilent ship them parts and the customer does the repairs and that they had recently done a turbo replacement, and changed out filaments.
After a few startups the turbo had spooled up as normal, however, the unit was giving a gain too high warning, and also would constantly try to calibrate without being directed to do so.
When Jake brought me to the unit, I pulled off panels and the first thing I did was remove old calibrated leak and noticed oil around the o-ring on the calibrated leak.
I then removed the flex hose going into valve block. Both the valve block and flex line had oil in it.
Determined that the pump's check valve had failed and had released oil all throughout all components of the leak detector.
I spoke with Bruce at Agilent and we agreed that oil had penetrated leak detector and will need to be sent to depot to get bench overhaul.
Bruce was going to reach out to customer to set up a time/date to ship unit.
