Start 7/19/26 for travel to Kansas
July 20th, 2026 (Monday)-
12;00 p-3:30p After laying out the room we ran into the issue of piping being in the way. According to the drawings and per site GC the systems were to be set flush or recessed and like that the system would be kept from flush with the piping. We contacted Chris Ables and informed him. We were told to hold off as Chris was going to reach out to Guldmann and see how to proceed. We were informed at 3;30 that the system is to be below ceiling not above that the plans had not been updated.
July 21st, 2026 (Tuesday)-
10:00 a-3:30p After completing set up for the inspection of the first room we contacted Ramon with Floyd to inspect. He then called the VA staff came in and were unhappy with the height of the system as the bottom of the motor sat at 5’11 ½’. After they expressed their displeasure they asked us to not continue. We reached out to Chris Ables and relayed what we were told. He said to stand down until we heard from him. At approximately 2pm Chris reached out to Robert Butler and told him that there was going to be a meeting at 3 to just stay put and await an answer. Once the clock struck 3:30 pm we packed up and left as the site closes then.
July 22nd, 2026 (Wednesday)-
6;45 a- 11:00a We arrived onsite and awaited a decision. Chris called and said that there was very real possibility we would be removing the system we had up and returning it to storage for safe keeping and heading home. Around 11 we were told to remove the system and take it as well as some other Guldmann material to storage and head home. We were told that the ceiling situation was going to be addressed and corrected for us to return at a later date.
End 7/23/26 for travel home from Kansas
🔧Work Performed
07/20/26
Arrived to get these 8 rooms started.
Arrived to find that the Wall Supports are not on location along with no hardware.
Called Chris Ables our supervisor and he informed me that " The supplies are on site and have been delivered. they were signed for by Jose.
Spoke to the onsite supervisor Ramon and he states that the pallet that was delivered is outside.
We went to that location and that pallet was ceiling steel for ceiling drops and not wall mount.
I then called Chris and was told "The Materials are there" I voice concern that they are not.
Saul and I headed toward the storage facility to check there. While enroute I was then called by Chris and he advised me "The materials are at the facility. Do not go to the storage as there are NO rails there for this system." We then turned around and then headed back the to facility.
When we arrived, we spoke to Jose the GC and he states that the only boxes that were delivered are in a connex. Well, the boxes that Chris said "Have all the materials in" are materials for the ceiling drops and NOT for the wall mount system.
At that time Jose stated, " Oh the plans were changed some time ago and we are now only using "L" Brackets attached to the wall".
I then called Chris back and asked about this "CHANGE". He stated, "Yes, the plans were changed and we are only using an "L" Bracket to mount this system".
I then asked Chris " When were we going to be advised of this change in plans? And we were sent the Plans that were still mounting to concrete and not a wood backing?"
So, we were caught off guard by the change in the plans that we did not know about..
We then went back to the storage and there were the "L" Brackets.
Stopped at Home Depot and purchased Lag Bolts and washers.
Got back to the facility and then found that the plumbing that is above the ceiling is too low for the fixed rails to go in the ceiling.
This is a Flush mounted system, and the system will not fit in this configuration.
I then called Chris to advise and also had Ramon look at our issue.
From this time on we were on downtime for a decision to be made as to how we are going to get this system installed.
We were back and forth on how this system was going to be installed.
At the end of the day, it was advised that the GC has approved for these systems to be mounted UNDER the ceiling.

Travel Day
8.17.26
Went to storage to p/u angle brackets and hardware to start install.
Arrived onsite and had to layout all rooms as floor markings were covered by self leveling concrete.
Setup laser at elevation of 6 3/4" from ceiling height and had GC come in to OK the elevation before start of install. 1 3/4" from grid to top of 5" rail to clear sprinkler heads.
Installed all angle brackets on walls with 4" lag bolts.
Installed all transformers on wall above ceiling.
8.17.26
Went to storage to p/u 16 stationary rails and liner.
Had to call Will to ship us overnight more endstops one transformer and more liner.
Unloaded and brought in all 16 rails to jobsite.
Measured each rail length and cut to measure per room.
Installed liner on all powered rails.
Installed all stationery rails and made sure they were square.
Installed pickups on power side trolley and endstops on all rails.
8.19.26
Went to storage to p/u all the moving rails, motors and hangar bars.
Unloaded everything onsite.
Measured each room for traverse size, cut and lined rails and installed onto trolleys with motor trolleys and endstops.
Installed motors and hangar bars as well.

Good afternoon, we had a small delay with the backing situation on the patient lifts, and I had to push my sheet rockers back a couple of weeks.
We will have everything ready to go for your installers JULY 27.
Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

@Allison Ramos Found another Prevailing wage issue. On this WO, the labor entries for week of 7/19 are not entered as "Prevailing Wage" and will need to be updated also. Apologize for these misses. How shall I proceed with the change?@Nicole Floyd @Christopher Ables
